A Christmas Wish - and H.O.W to have a better Christmas -Christmas Poetry
The shops are full of decorations,
Kids are full of expectations
Of presents that they may receive,
It's Christmas! And I do believe
It very well may snow this year,
And fill us all with Yuletide cheer!
The turkeys cooked are way too large,
Mulled wine is served that will recharge
The energies of grown ups here,
Some that dread this time of year,
Knowing that they will get fat,
With empty wallets and silly hats!
Others love this time of year,
And celebrate it with a beer,
Or two, or three, or four,
Then after dinner, hear them snore!
The kids meanwhile, love nothing more
To open presents on the floor.
And so to all a Christmas message,
May dreams come true, and every fetish,
(As long as it's all healthy fun)
MERRY CHRISTMAS! Everyone!
But....
Spare a thought for those less lucky,
This time of year it may be plucky
To lend a helping hand or two
There's always one worse off than you!
My Christmas wish for all to hear
Especially this time of year
Is that we all go out our way
To help someone in need today!
The one to whom we are most kind,
Could very well then have a mind
To go out and help someone too
And no, it probably won't be you...
LOL
We all need help in times of strife
And selfless acts can save a life
No matter how small your action seems
It makes a difference...
This is my dream!
The H.O.W Project
I would really like to tell you now,
About a project that's called
H.O.W.
My words are simple
And usually fun
And my Christmas wish
Is a simple one,
But it's my way to start the change
We, the people, can rearrange
The social problems of this age,
So I'd like to redirect you
To this page!
Bill Holland A.K.A Billybuc
Started H.O.W
Because he felt stuck
In a world that needed aid
And so a solution to help he made!
Writers round the world unite,
To write articles
Highlight the plight
And offer different ways to help
(Have you ever tried to rhyme with help?)
So join us now, follow this link
And then tell Bill what you think,
You'll find many other writers there,
And Facebook too if you dare,
I beg you now, please take the time
And thank you for reading my little rhyme!
